Connect in 5 Simple Steps
The app connects to your recorder over the internet using its Device ID, with a secure connection between the recorder and your phone. We do all of this for you at installation, but here’s how easy it is:

Download the app
Get the free app from the App Store or Google Play: DMSS for Dahua systems, LumiViewer for Luminys.

Create an account
Sign up in the app with your email and your own password.

Scan the QR code
Point your phone at your recorder’s QR code to add it to the app.

Enter the password
Type in your recorder’s password, and your cameras connect.

Luminys Systems: The LumiViewer App
We also install Luminys camera systems, including our 5MP kits. Those systems use the free LumiViewer app. It’s free, with no ads or in-app purchases, and it has the same name on your phone and on your Windows or Mac computer, so you can keep an eye on things from your desk or on the go.

Viewing App FAQs
Are there any monthly fees for the app?
No. DMSS and LumiViewer are both free, and your video is recorded on your own NVR, so there’s no subscription to watch your own cameras.
Do you set up the app for me?
Yes. Before we leave, we install the app on your phone, connect it to your system and show you how to watch live, play back recordings and turn alerts on and off.
Can I watch my cameras on my computer?
Yes. Luminys systems use LumiViewer and Dahua systems use Smart PSS Lite, both free for Windows and Mac. See our computer software page.
Can I talk through my cameras with the app?
Yes, on cameras with built-in audio. Tap the microphone in the app to speak to a visitor, a courier or an unwanted guest, live.
I already have a Dahua or Luminys system. Can you help with the app?
Yes. If your app stopped connecting, you got a new phone, or you never got alerts set up, we can help. Ask for app support when you contact us.
