How much does security camera installation cost?
It depends on the number of cameras, the resolution (4MP, 5MP or 4K), the cable runs and the building. After a free on-site assessment you get a clear written quote that includes the cameras, recorder, installation, hidden cabling and app setup, with no monthly fees.
How long does installation take?
Most homes and small businesses are done in one day. For businesses, we schedule around your opening hours.
Can several managers watch the cameras?
Yes. Owners, managers and staff can each have their own app access at no extra cost, and you control who sees what.
Do you install outside Toronto?
Yes. We install across the GTA: York, Peel, Durham and Halton regions, plus Hamilton and Barrie.
Are your technicians insured?
Yes. Our technicians are insured and WSIB-covered, and they work for Blaze Alarms. We never subcontract installs.
Hard-wired or wireless?
Hard-wired for almost every job. Wired cameras don’t drop off Wi-Fi, don’t need batteries and keep recording through Ontario winters. Wireless only makes sense where a cable truly can’t go.
Do I need a permit?
Homeowners don’t need a permit for exterior cameras covering their own property; just avoid pointing cameras into a neighbour’s windows or yard. For a business, we’ll tell you at the assessment if anything else applies.
What is active deterrence?
Some cameras can react when they see a person or car cross a line you draw, like the edge of the driveway: an alert goes to your phone, and the camera can flash a light and sound a siren.
